Dr. Kimberly Broughton
Dr. Kim is a Freelance Digital Producer, specializing in video-editing and content-strategy. She has extensive experience developing compelling content for influencers, educational institutions, and religious organizations. Through her attention to detail, activist-spirit, and passion for storytelling, Dr. Kim has used her gifts of video creation and writing to enhance various content while creating space for voices of the marginalized.
Dr. Kimberly Broughton is the founder and sole operator of KBM. She is also a UX Writer for an investment firm based in North Carolina. Dr. Kim received her Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Composition at Purdue University with a certification in African American Studies. Her research interests coalesce around Digital Rhetorics, Black Liberation Rhetoric, DEI efforts, and the retention of Black students.
In the creative vein, Dr. Kim partners with minority creators to produce meaningful content. She has extensive experience as a content developer and writer, and uses her skills to provide services such as content-consulting, video editing, livestream management, and amateur photography. Ultimately, she is committed to creating space and resources for minority creators to generate culture-enriching content.
